The extension opens a playing YouTube video in Picture-in-Picture when you switch tabs, browser windows or applications. It closes a PiP window it opened when you return to the video page.
The extension checks current YouTube tab URLs, window and tab focus, and video playback state on your device to perform this function. This information is processed transiently and is not saved as viewing or browsing history. It saves only the automatic-PiP and window-assistance preferences in Chrome's local extension storage.
The extension does not transmit video content, tab URLs, viewing activity, account information or other user data to the developer or to any third party. It includes no advertising, analytics, tracking, third-party SDKs or remote executable code. It does not sell user data or use data for lending, advertising or unrelated purposes. YouTube continues its normal website communications under its own policies; those communications are not sent by this extension.
YouTube site access is used to detect playback and control PiP only on https://www.youtube.com/. The storage permission saves your two preferences locally. The debugger permission is used by window/app-switch assistance to briefly request PiP on a YouTube tab when Chrome requires user activation. The extension checks the target origin and disconnects immediately after the operation. It does not use this connection to inspect cookies, credentials or network traffic. Chrome may show a debugging notice.
The extension's use of information received from Chrome APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data is used only for the disclosed PiP functionality; it is not transferred, sold, used for advertising or accessed by the developer.
You can disable automatic PiP or window/app assistance in the extension popup. Disabling assistance stops debugger use but does not revoke the installed permission. Removing the extension revokes its permissions and removes its local extension storage under Chrome's normal behavior.
